About Lumivorx

What is Lumivorx?

Lumivorx is an AI-powered learning platform that teaches real school curricula - from primary school to A Level - plus 40 languages, with AI tutoring, exam practice, essay marking and teacher analytics. It is built by Elentor Inc. and used by students, families and schools, with a focus on African and international curricula.

Which curricula does Lumivorx cover?

Lumivorx covers 13 curricula: Cambridge IGCSE and AS & A Level, WAEC/NERDC (Nigeria), UNEB UCE and UACE (Uganda, including the new competency-based curriculum), Kenya CBC Senior School, Ghana GES SHS, UK Key Stage 4, and primary curricula for Uganda (PLE), Nigeria (Common Entrance), Kenya (KPSEA) and England (KS2 SATs).

What is NOVA?

NOVA is Lumivorx's AI tutor. It teaches by asking questions - the Socratic method - rather than just giving answers, adapts to the student's curriculum and level, speaks answers aloud, and accepts spoken questions. For primary pupils it teaches in short, child-friendly steps.

Does Lumivorx work on a phone?

Yes. Lumivorx runs in any modern browser on a phone, tablet or computer - no installation needed. Most of our students use it on Android phones.

Is Lumivorx really honest about what AI can and cannot do?

Yes - honesty is our core design rule. Maths practice is marked by code, not AI guesses; readiness scores only appear where real data exists; features that are not ready are labelled 'coming soon' instead of being faked; and our AI-HUB module teaches students how AI can be wrong and how to check it.

Plans, pricing & trial

How much does Lumivorx cost?

Lumivorx has four personal plans - SPARK at $9.99/month for one learner, SCHOLAR at $19.99/month for serious exam preparation, FAMILY at $35/month covering up to four children under one guardian, and CAMPUS at $79.99/month for a whole class of up to 35 students - plus whole-school SCHOOL plans from $341/month that cover every pupil on the roll. Every personal plan starts with a free 7-day trial.

Is there a free trial?

Yes - 7 days, full access, and no card is required to start. At the end of the trial you choose a plan or simply stop; nothing is charged automatically during the trial.

How do I pay from Nigeria, Uganda, Kenya or Ghana?

Payments are processed through Paystack, which accepts local cards and payment methods across Africa, alongside international cards. Prices are in US dollars.

What is the CAMPUS plan?

CAMPUS covers an entire class - up to 35 students - for $79.99/month, about $2.30 per student. It includes teacher analytics (INSIGHT), class rosters with join codes, and every learning tool for every student in the class.

What is the FAMILY plan?

FAMILY covers up to four children under one parent or guardian account for $35 a month, about $8.75 per child. The guardian can follow each child's study record and their teachers' notes. Younger children who don't have an email address sign in with a username the guardian chooses.

Can I pay yearly instead of monthly?

Yes, on every plan. A one-year term gives you one month free, and a two-year term gives you two months free. The whole term is charged once at checkout, so a year of FAMILY is $385 rather than $420.

Exams

Does Lumivorx prepare students for WAEC?

Yes. Lumivorx teaches the NERDC curriculum with WAEC-style questions, tracks readiness per subject with EXAMACE, and marks essays in WAEC's grading culture. It also explains the A1-F9 grade scale and what 'five credits' means.

Does Lumivorx cover Uganda's new competency-based curriculum?

Yes - Lumivorx was built for the reformed UNEB UCE from day one: competency-framed teaching, scenario questions, and readiness reported in the new A-E letters rather than the old Divisions. The old-style UACE A Level and the primary PLE track are covered too.

What is EXAMACE?

EXAMACE is Lumivorx's exam-readiness engine: adaptive practice sessions that produce an honest readiness score per exam track, built from real attempts - so students and teachers know where they stand before the exam does.

Can Lumivorx mark essays?

Yes. Essay Lab gives banded, criterion-by-criterion feedback on student essays in the style of the relevant exam board - what worked, what to fix, and how to move up a band. It marks the student's own writing; it does not write essays for them.

Languages

Which languages can I learn on Lumivorx?

40 languages, from French, Chinese and Spanish to Yoruba, Igbo, Hausa, Swahili, Luganda, Amharic and Wolof - each with structured CEFR-style levels, conversation practice, drills and writing correction.

Does Lumivorx teach Yoruba with correct tone marks?

Yes - and this matters: Yoruba is tonal, so words like oko change meaning entirely with tone. Lumivorx teaches Yoruba, Igbo and Hausa with complete, correct orthography (tone marks, underdotted vowels), the same orthography WAEC examines.

Can I practise speaking and listening?

Yes, in 20 languages LINGUA speaks lessons aloud and transcribes your speech. For strongly tonal languages we deliberately hold audio until the voices can honour the tones correctly - wrong audio teaches wrong language.

Can Lumivorx explain lessons in my own language?

Yes. LINGUA can explain grammar and corrections in the learner's home language - for example, teaching French with explanations in Swahili.

Schools & teachers

What does Lumivorx give teachers?

Three things: INSIGHT (per-student readiness heatmaps and early-warning flags across a class), TEACH (syllabus-grounded lesson plans and printable worksheets with marking guides), and class management with simple join codes. One CAMPUS plan covers the whole class.

Can Lumivorx work in a low-resource classroom?

Yes - it is designed for one. Lesson plans assume chalkboard and paper, worksheets print as clean learner copies with a separate marking guide, and students need only an ordinary phone browser.

How do students join a teacher's class?

The teacher creates a class and shares its join code; students enter it once at uni.lumivorx.com/join and are enrolled. The teacher sees their progress from that moment.

Does Lumivorx have a whole-school plan?

Yes. SCHOOL plans cover every pupil on the roll on one invoice: up to 150 pupils for $341/month ($3,751/year), up to 400 for $800/month ($8,800/year), up to 800 for $1,382/month ($15,202/year), and up to 1,500 for $2,182/month ($24,002/year). Every class, every teacher, whole-school reports and the parent portal are included.

How is school pricing calculated?

By roll size, not per seat - and the bigger the school, the less each pupil costs: from about $25 per pupil per year at the smallest tier down to about $16 at the largest. A yearly term includes one month free and a two-year term includes two months free, charged once at checkout.

What happens if our roll grows during the year?

Nothing breaks. Every SCHOOL plan carries a 15% grace band above its tier, so mid-term admissions never lock the school out - you simply move up a tier at renewal if the growth holds.

Can a school try Lumivorx before buying a whole-school plan?

Yes, and most do: sponsor one class on CAMPUS at $79.99/month for a term, look at that class's readiness report, then cover the whole school. An existing class sponsorship is never cancelled by a school purchase.

Safety & data

Is Lumivorx safe for children?

Yes, by design: no ads, no social feed, no contact with strangers; the AI tutor teaches rather than chats aimlessly; primary pupils get age-appropriate content; and our AI-HUB curriculum explicitly teaches online safety, including scams and deepfakes.

What data does Lumivorx collect about my child?

Only what learning requires: account details, curriculum choices, and learning activity (questions practised, scores, streaks). We do not sell personal data, and learning data is used to teach the learner - not to advertise to them.

Does using Lumivorx count as cheating?

Using Lumivorx to learn is not cheating - NOVA teaches by questioning, Essay Lab marks your own writing, and practice builds your ability to perform alone in the exam room. Submitting AI-written work as your own is cheating, on any platform, and Lumivorx is deliberately built not to be that tool.
